"BECOMING" by HUMILITY

I'M BECOMING FORGETFUL.
I CAN'T REMEMBER THE STORY I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF TELLING,
I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NOTES I'VE JUST FINISHED ANNOTATING,
I CAN'T REMEMBER LYRICS TO THE SONG I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO FOR MONTHS.

I'M LOSING MY GRASP ON WORDS.

I'M BECOMING QUIETER.
I GET NERVOUS WHEN INTRODUCING MYSELF,
I STUTTER WHEN I TALK.
I MAKE BAD JOKES.

I'M LOSING CONTROL OF MY WORDS.
I'M BECOMING A WRITER.
I'M SCARED OF LOSING MY ONLY WAY TO COMMUNICATE,
I’M SCARED OF FORGETTING ALL THE MOMENTS IVE LIVED,
I’M SCARED.

I’M BECOMING A WRITER BECAUSE

I CAN'T LOSE ALL THAT I’VE EVER KNOWN.
